Catholic Church appeals for the return of a reliquary, containing
the blood of Pope John Paul II, that was stolen from a remote church in
the Apennines.
A religious reliquary containing the blood of Pope John Paul II that
was taken from a remote church in the mountains of central Italy may
have been stolen to order, police believe.
The reliquary, a piece of cloth stained with the blood of the late
Pope and encased in gold, was taken during a break-in at the Church of
St Peter of Ienca, a tiny stone chapel in the Apennine mountains which
is dedicated to the Polish pontiff.
Italian Police believe it may have been stolen by thieves who were
hoping to sell it on the black market for religious relics, rather than
taken by opportunists or vandals.
Relics that are linked to him are likely to become even more esteemed
when he is made a saint during a ceremony at the Vatican in April.
The one that was stolen features a fragment of cloth that was
purportedly taken from the cassock worn by the Pope when Mehmet Ali
Agca, a lone Turkish gunman, shot him in St Peter’s Square during a
failed assassination attempt in May 1981.
The thieves sawed through bars on a window to the church, which lies
in the shadow of Gran Sasso, the highest mountain in the Apennine range,
but otherwise left little trace of their presence.
“They didn’t take any money, even though they would have had all the
time they needed to ransack the church,” said Franca Corrieri, the
custodian who discovered the theft at the weekend.
Her father, Pasquale Corrieri, who also looks after the church, said he believed the reliquary had been stolen “to order”.
He said he was “dismayed” by the theft of the reliquary, which bears the Latin words “Ex sanguine Beati Joannis Pauli II Papae.”
There has also been speculation in Italy that the object of religious
veneration was stolen by a satanic group for use in some kind of
ritual.
Giuseppe Petrocchi, the archbishop of the nearby city of L’Aquila,
called for the reliquary to be returned as soon as possible and called
the theft “deplorable and sacrilegious.”
“I appeal to those who carried out this deplorable act. Give back to
the Church in L’Aquila the reliquary of our protector,” the archbishop
said.

Explanation:
This is the mess that is left when a star explodes.
The Crab Nebula, the result of a supernova seen in
1054 AD, is filled with mysterious filaments.
The filaments are not only
tremendously complex, but appear to have
less mass than expelled in the original supernova and a
higher speed than expected from a free explosion.
The above image,
taken by the Hubble Space Telescope,
is presented in three colors chosen for scientific interest.
The Crab Nebula spans about 10 light-years.
In the nebula's very center lies a
pulsar: a
neutron star as massive as the
Sun
but with only the size of a
small town.
The Crab Pulsar rotates about 30 times each second.

Obama to visit Pope Frances S.J. on March 27, 2014
U.S. President Barrack Obama plans on visiting Pope Francis S.J. in Rome on March 27, 2014.
The visit shall come as part of a visit to Europe starting March 24-25 in The Hague, Netherlands, at a Dutch government nuclear security summit, and continuing on March 26, to Brussels for an U.S.-European Union summit with the presidents of the European Council and the European Commission, and meetings with Belgian leaders and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
No word yet as far as I can tell on how long Obama plans upon staying in Rome before returning to the United States, nor who else might be present.

NBC To Produce a 'Rosemary's Baby' Remake as a Mini Series
NBC announces its remake of the movie Rosemary's Baby as a miniseries, to take place not in New York as per the original 1968 movie by Roman Polanski, but rather in Paris, France.
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/nbc-orders-rosemarys-baby-miniseries-664500
The mini hails from Lionsgate TV, with Joshua Maurer, Alix Witlin and David Stern on board to executive produce. Scott Abbott (Introducing Dorothy Dandridge) and James Wong (American Horror Story) will write the screenplay, while Agnieszka Holland, who has been nominated for both an Oscar (Europa, Europa) and an Emmy (Treme), will direct. Casting will begin immediately."Ira Levin’s mesmerizing book was a groundbreaking reflection on how effective and influential a psychological thriller could be," said Quinn Taylor, executive vp movies, miniseries and international co-productions at NBC. “We’re looking forward to adapting his incredible work and bringing those indelible characters to a new generation of viewers.”
The project was one of four miniseries NBC put into development in July, along with its recently scrapped Hillary Clinton scripted entry, and arrived after the network hired Taylor to be its new longform point person. The new take on Rosemary's Baby is the network's latest mini and arrives as event series continues to gain popularity as both broadcast and cable networks look to lure both cache and eyeballs in an increasingly competitive DVR era."As we move into the event movie and miniseries space, Rosemary’s Baby represents the kind of attention-getting, surprising project that will make noise for us," said NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke. "The story has been updated and moved to Paris, but it’s faithful to the spirit of Ira Levin’s classic novel. This is a compelling tale wonderfully told.”“Rosemary’s Baby is an extraordinary project and we’re excited to be in the longform business with NBC,” said Lionsgate Television Group chairman Kevin Beggs.
Thus, one can expect yet another work stressing that false doctrine.
JMO IMO not a stellar idea. This is one of those times where if you've read the book or seen the original the suspense is considerably weakened.
Donald MacMelville Here's an idea. If they want to bring the older movie to a new audience, promote it well and air it in NBC.
renamoretti1 Donald MacMelville Exactly... IT would probably get higher ratings than this dud will (on CW random movie reruns beat their "original" programming.
renamoretti1 One more crappy remake... Why?!!!
To be fair 20 years ago, I wouldn't have assumed it would be horrible, but today I do, mostly because the executives will wring every once of creativity out of it... :(
What TV desperately needs today is stuff that's new and fresh (at least a little) done by talented people, not the usual bad producers, writers and directors (and I don't put James Wong in those as he's very talented).
lucifer FLOP written all over it!
I suggest to stop paying ridicolous amounts of money to tv executives
and now I know why I never made it in the tv industry.
renamoretti1 lucifer You put your finger on it. The current breed of TV executives is killing good television. The real problem is the higher ups who probably clapped on their backs for that "great idea" and rewarded them with a big Xmas bonus for a "job well done) even as NBC actually managed to lose a time slot to CW recently...

The New York Times On Spain's King Juan Carlos
a descendant of the infamous Farnes family

and was the likely culprit behind apostate Nationals Stadium in Washington D.C.
which started the Satanic Jesuit Order
and was the likely culprit behind apostate Nationals Stadium in Washington D.C.
MADRID
— You know a monarchy is in trouble when the queen is jeered at the
Royal Theater, of all places, and by a classical music audience. This
happened to Queen Sofía of Spain last year in Madrid — a scene then repeated elsewhere with other members of the royal family.
A recent poll put support for the Spanish monarchy at a historic low: More than 60 percent of Spaniards want King Juan Carlos
to step down. And all this is happening amid a series of scandals
involving the royal household, the most serious of which are corruption
charges against the king’s son-in-law, also involving the king’s
daughter, Princess Cristina.
What
is astonishing about this turn of events is that the Spanish monarchy
was once deemed rock-solid. King Juan Carlos was praised both inside and
outside Spain as a model monarch; the man who in the 1970s steered the
country’s complicated transition from the military rule of Gen.
Francisco Franco to parliamentary democracy; the king who stood up to an
attempted military coup in 1981. He was said to be loved by his people,
who were grateful for what he had done — and it was true.
What
has changed? Not the king, but the country. Popular opinion has changed
so fast and so dramatically that it is perhaps not surprising the
monarchy has failed to keep pace.
Two
things transform a people more than any other: war and economic
hardship. War was what shaped the Spain that loved King Juan Carlos. It
was the haunting memories of the 1936-39 civil war that won people over
to the monarchy after Franco’s death in 1975: Few were monarchists at
heart, but the institution seemed to offer a safe path to stability.
Nearly
four decades later, economic privation is creating a new Spain. The
financial crisis hit the country hard, leaving a trail of home
repossessions, draconian cutbacks to public services and low wages. Last
year, there were fears of a complete meltdown of Spain’s banking
system, avoided only at the taxpayers’ expense. The unemployment rate
stands at a staggering 27 percent.
All
this has made Spaniards angry at the establishment and hypersensitive
to the misuse of public money. That’s why, after they heard that the
king’s son-in-law was being investigated for fraud on a grand scale,
their blood boiled. Public esteem for the monarchy started to decline.
The real disaster came in April 2012. The country learned that the king had
broken his hip while hunting elephants in Botswana, reportedly as the
guest of a Syrian-born Saudi magnate. He was also — unusually, for a
private trip — unaccompanied by the queen. The affair opened a Pandora’s
box of awkward questions — from the state of the royal marriage to the
nature of the king’s business dealings.
Above
all, people were livid at the insensitivity of his shooting of
pachyderms while the country was reeling under harsh austerity. The fact
that the king was also a patron of the World Wildlife Fund did not
help. (Soon after, the conservation group unceremoniously sacked the
monarch.) To this day, the mere mention of an elephant in Spain sends
people into an uproar over the king.
The
irony is that Juan Carlos had been hunting and doing business around
the world all his life. Most people simply didn’t know. The king and his
family were shielded from criticism by an informal media covenant,
their sources of income kept secret in part.
With
hindsight, this proved to have been a mistake. The sudden contrast
between image and reality only made disclosure all the more
embarrassing. Now, thanks to the scandal, there is more transparency in
the royal household, but probably not enough. Its official budget
approved by Parliament is known to be around 8 million euros, but this
is widely believed to represent a small part of the family’s total
worth.
To
his credit, the king apologized for his ill-fated safari. Yet he lacked
experience in apologizing — and his people, in forgiving. It was simply
awkward, and it’s become increasingly awkward as the king seeks to
regain the favor of his subjects by multiplying his public appearances
in spite of a series of surgeries from which he has not fully recovered.
As
to the future, many believe that the appearance in court of Princess
Cristina, regardless of the outcome, could be a cathartic moment that
would allow a reset. That seems naïve. The king’s men pin their hopes on
an early end to the economic hardship and a shift in the general mood
that would bring back the Spain of yore, more tolerant of housing
bubbles and royal blunders.
That
could well occur: Spaniards who change their minds are not unheard of.
But others speak openly of Juan Carlos’s abdication. They note that
polls also show there is a chance that Crown Prince Felipe, young and
untainted, could restore the monarchy’s lost prestige.
Juan
Carlos has made it clear he will not even consider stepping aside, but
even on this, ill luck dogs him: The abdication last year of Queen
Beatrix of the Netherlands, soon followed by King Albert II of Belgium
renouncing the crown, renewed the pressure. Rather cruelly, even the
pope stepped down. And yet, Juan Carlos remains adamant: He wants to be
the king he was.
That’s not the problem: He is the king he was. It’s his kingdom that is no longer the same.

ME 6 hours agoNot really. Uniates are simply Orthodox that got tired of the Satanic division and wanted to return to the Church founded by Christ and follow His successor. And as Orthodox your allegiance is to foreign patriarchs with the 'First amongst equals' being a Turkish citizen who wants Turkey to be allowed to join the EU.More

http://news.yahoo.com/ukraine-warns-church-over-prayer-services-protesters-195502592.htmlA bit of history: the 'Ukrainian Greek Catholic' or 'Unite' Church was created in 1596.
Kiev (AFP) - The Ukrainian government has threatened to outlaw the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church for holding prayer services for opposition protesters occupying Kiev's central square. The culture ministry on Monday sent a letter to the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Major Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk, accusing its priests of "breaking the law" by holding religious services outside a place of worship. The Church's priests, along with those of the Orthodox Church loyal to the Kiev Patriarchate, hold open-air religious services several times a day on Kiev's Independence Square, known locally as the Maidan."The breach of this law could lead to legal proceedings to put an end to the activities" of the Church, said a scanned version of the letter published by the opposition news website Ukrainska Pravda. The square has been occupied since late November by protesters who are challenging President Viktor Yanukovych's U-turn on a landmark pact with the European Union in favour of closer ties with Russia. Two tents erected on the square are used as places of worship, where protesters pray, go for confession and even have their children christened. The article is about the involvement of the various main churches in Ukraine- the Vatican Loyal 'Uniate' Orthodox, and the Moscow Loyal Orthodox
"For the first time since the independence of Ukraine, we have been put on our guard. We have de facto been warned that they could deprive our Church of its legal status," Shevchuk told reporters on Monday."We thought that the prosecution of priests was a thing of the past."
The government warning has sparked anger among believers."It is illegal, it is immoral. Nobody can forbid people to pray. Only Satan does not want people to pray," said Pavlo, 52, as he came out of one of the tents on Tuesday.Yanukovych, who is accused by the opposition of being the initiator of the letter, said in comments released by his aides that the current "law should be amended to allow believers to pray wherever they like."The Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, also known as the Uniate Church, follows Orthodox traditions but is loyal to the Vatican. It was banned in the Soviet era but has become the third largest confession in Ukraine since the country's independence in 1991.The Church now has around 5.5 million followers in Ukraine, around 12 percent of its population of 46 million, most of them living in the western regions. There are also around 1.5 believers in Ukrainian diasporas in Europe, the United States and Australia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expansion_of_Russia_1500%E2%80%931800
The Poles: The Poles, who expanded from the west, had a number of disadvantages. The core of the Polish state was in the west and Poland was often distracted by wars with western powers, especially Sweden. Poland was almost an aristocratic republic. Its nobles sought to protect their liberty by weakening the king, which also weakened the Polish army and made a consistent frontier policy difficult. Their main problem was the alienation of the eastern population. The core of Poland was Catholic, but the eastern lands were mostly Orthodox. Society in the Polish core was based on serfdom, but there was greater freedom in the east. Lords with land grants in the east would offer easy terms to attract peasants. Many people in the Polish east were runaway serfs or adventurers who had reason to distrust a strong state [aka esp. one that's Roman Catholic]. By the 1500s, Polish claims extended east of the Dnieper to a point south of Moscow, although the area was thinly settled and barely administered.
Poland has a long tradition of religious freedom. The right to worship freely was a basic right given to all inhabitants of the Commonwealth throughout the 15th and early 16th century, however, complete freedom of religion was officially recognized in Poland in 1573 during the Warsaw Confederation. Poland kept religious freedom laws during an era when religious persecution was an everyday occurrence in the rest of Europe.[91] Commonwealth was a place were the most radical religious sects, trying to escape persecution in other countries of the Christian world, sought refuge.[92] In 1561 Bonifacio d’Oria, a religious exile living in Poland, wrote of his adopted country’s virtues to a colleague back in Italy: “You could live here in accordance with your ideas and preferences, in great, even the greatest freedoms, including writing and publishing. No one is a censor here."[27]
"This country became a place of shelter for heretics” - Cardinal Hozjusz papal legate to Poland.[92]To be Polish, in the non-Polish lands of the Commonwealth, was then much less an index of ethnicity than of religion and rank; it was a designation largely reserved for the landed noble class (szlachta), which included Poles but also many members of non-Polish origin who converted to Catholicism in increasing numbers with each following generation. For the non-Polish [*] noble such conversion meant a final step of Polonization that followed the adoption of the Polish language and culture.[93] Poland, as the culturally most advanced part of the Commonwealth, with the royal court, the capital, the largest cities, the second-oldest university in Central Europe (after Prague), and the more liberal and democratic social institutions had proven an irresistible magnet for the non-Polish nobility in the Commonwealth.[16] Many referred to themselves as "gente Ruthenus, natione Polonus" (Ruthenian by blood, Polish by nationality) since 16th century onwards.[94]

* Actually the so-called 'non-Polish people of the Polish Commonwealth WERE Polish, only to have been induced into a mass amnesia by the 'Rus' invaders of the 800 and 900s:
http://continuingcounterreformation.blogspot.com/2014/02/kiev-founded-by-east-polans.html
Such an amnesia was furthered by the late 1800s political movement to re-define the East Polans as "Ukrainians":

The sentence, by the Venerable Bede, a seventh-century theologian, contains Pope Francis’ self-chosen motto, “miserando atque eligendo,” which loosely translates as “lowly but chosen.”
Father Lombardi acknowledged that the Vatican was responsible for the
error, made when the coin was being designed. But he seemed mildly
amused by the matter. “If only these were the problems we had to deal
with,” he said, laughing.
Twitter users found it amusing as well. A user with the Twitter handle
BruvverEccles, alluding to the religious order Francis belongs to, wrote, “I blame the Lesuits.” Daniel Burke, who co-edits a religion blog on CNN.com, wrote, “For the love of Lesus, the Vatican could sure use an infallible copyeditor.”
The coin was minted by the Italian State Mint and Polygraphic Institute,
a state-controlled manufacturer. On Friday, Lorenzo Carella, a
spokesman for the institute, said lasers were used to produce the coins.
The lasers trace a digital image based on a mold.
The coins are then minted in gold, silver or bronze.
“We had the mold delivered to us,” Mr. Carella said. “We produced them, packed them up and sent them off.”
The Vatican has not decided whether to mint new coins, but if it does,
the value of the flawed versions could skyrocket for collectors, experts
said. The bronze medals were briefly sold for 80 euros each, or $108;
the silver ones for about $135; and the gold for $203.
“Regardless of what the Vatican decides to do now, it’s an interesting
purchase for a collector,” Francesco Santarossa, owner of a numismatic
and philatelic shop near St. Peter’s Square in Rome, said in a phone
interview. “I don’t think they ever made such a mistake in the
600-year-long history of papal medals.”

Against Russian Imperialism For the Liberation of Central-East Europe
from the Stalinist-Counter Reformation Borders
Zbigniew Brzezinski was born in Warsaw, Poland, in 1928. His family, members of the nobility (or "szlachta" in Polish), bore the Trąby coat of arms and hailed from Brzeżany in Galicia in the Tarnopol Voivodeship (administrative region) of then eastern Poland (now in Ukraine). The town of Brzeżany is thought to be the source of the family name. Brzezinski's father was Tadeusz Brzeziński, a Polish diplomat who was posted to Germany from 1931 to 1935; Zbigniew Brzezinski thus spent some of his earliest years witnessing the rise of the Nazis. From 1936 to 1938, Tadeusz Brzeziński was posted to the Soviet Union during Joseph Stalin's Great Purge.[citation needed]
In 1938, Tadeusz Brzeziński was posted to Canada. In 1939, the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was agreed to by Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union; subsequently the two powers invaded Poland. The 1945 Yalta Conference between the Allies allotted Poland to the Soviet sphere of influence, meaning Brzezinski's family could not safely return to their country.[citation needed] The Second World War had a profound effect on Brzezinski, who stated in an interview: "The extraordinary violence that was perpetrated against Poland did affect my perception of the world, and made me much more sensitive to the fact that a great deal of world politics is a fundamental struggle."[5]
Zbigniew Brzezinski:

Q: The former director of the CIA, Robert Gates, stated in his
memoirs ["From the Shadows"], that American intelligence services began
to aid the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan 6 months before the Soviet
intervention. In this period you were the national security adviser to
President Carter. You therefore played a role in this affair. Is that
correct?
Brzezinski: Yes. According to the official version of history, CIA aid to the Mujahadeen began during 1980, that is to say, after the Soviet army invaded Afghanistan, 24 Dec 1979. But the reality, secretly guarded until now, is completely otherwise: Indeed, it was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul. And that very day, I wrote a note to the president in which I explained to him that in my opinion this aid was going to induce a Soviet military intervention.
Q: Despite this risk, you were an advocate of this covert action. But perhaps you yourself desired this Soviet entry into war and looked to provoke it?
Brzezinski: It isn’t quite that. We didn’t push the Russians to intervene, but we knowingly increased the probability that they would.
Q: When the Soviets justified their intervention by asserting that they intended to fight against a secret involvement of the United States in Afghanistan, people didn’t believe them. However, there was a basis of truth. You don’t regret anything today?
Brzezinski: Regret what? That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it? The day that the Soviets officially crossed the border, I wrote to President Carter: We now have the opportunity of giving to the USSR its Vietnam war. Indeed, for almost 10 years, Moscow had to carry on a war unsupportable by the government, a conflict that brought about the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet empire.
Q: And neither do you regret having supported the Islamic [integrisme], having given arms and advice to future terrorists?
Brzezinski: What is most important to the history of the world? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some stirred-up Moslems or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war?
Q: Some stirred-up Moslems? But it has been said and repeated: Islamic fundamentalism represents a world menace today.
Brzezinski: Nonsense! It is said that the West had a global policy in regard to Islam. That is stupid. There isn’t a global Islam. Look at Islam in a rational manner and without demagoguery or emotion. It is the leading religion of the world with 1.5 billion followers. But what is there in common among Saudi Arabian fundamentalism, moderate Morocco, Pakistan militarism, Egyptian pro-Western or Central Asian secularism? Nothing more than what unites the Christian countries.
* There are at least two editions of this magazine; with the perhaps sole exception of the Library of Congress, the version sent to the United States is shorter than the French version, and the Brzezinski interview was not included in the shorter version.

Fallujah Falls to SUNNI Al Qaeda
http://www.themalaymailonline.com/opinion/bloomberg/article/how-obama-can-help-avert-full-blown-war-in-iraq-and-syria-bloomberg-editors
(excerpt) The growing peril that confronts the US is best understood by viewing the all-out civil war in Syria and the deepening crisis next door in Iraq as a single battlefield. That’s how al-Qaeda in Iraq views it: The group has even renamed itself as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria to reflect its vision and growing ambitions.
In Syria, the Sunni militants of ISIS, estimated at more than 10,000, have emerged as the dominant force among the many rebel factions fighting the government of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad. ISIS has captured broad swaths of territory in northern and eastern Syria, and US intelligence officials say it has already begun plotting to export sectarian violence to the wider region in the hopes of raising a Sunni caliphate out of the eventual ashes. That is a dream of Islamic jihadis stretching back well before Osama bin Laden.
Nowhere is that agenda on a faster track than in Iraq, where in recent weeks ISIS has boldly planted the black flag of al-Qaeda in the strategic Sunni crossroads cities of Ramadi and Fallujah, capitalising on seething Sunni resentment against the majority Shiite government of President Nouri al-Maliki. Al- Qaeda’s wanton murder of mostly Shiite Iraqis helped make 2013 by far the worst year of violence since al-Qaeda in Iraq almost plunged the country into an all-out sectarian civil war in 2006-2007. Then, there were more than 140,000 US troops to douse the flames. No such firebreak exists today.

Duty to Expose Papist Treason
Bob Woodward Washington Post article announces new book due January 14, 2014
'Memoirs of a Secretary at War': Robert M. Gates
exposes Rift Within U.S. Government
Condemns Obama for not believing in Pentagon Mission and, along with Hillary Clinton, supporting premature withdrawal from Afghanistan for simple political reasons.
Condemns U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden for almost always being on the wrong side of the issues.
Condemns certain other members of the Obama Administration, notably Thomas Donilon and Lt. Gen. Douglas E. Lute:
Might this book be the opening up of a crack between legitimate versus Vatican Jesuit government, and the start of a much need intellectual assault upon the popular misconception, sloganeering over independent thought tail wag the dog politics that has so long ill affected Washington, D.C.?
'Memoirs of a Secretary at War': Robert M. Gates
exposes Rift Within U.S. Government
Before Robert M. Gates received a call from the White House in 2006, he thought he’d left Washington politics behind: after working for six presidents in both the CIA and the National Security Council, he was happy in his role as president of Texas A&M University. But when he was asked to help a nation mired in two wars and to aid the troops doing the fighting, he answered what he felt was the call of duty. Now, in this unsparing memoir, meticulously fair in its assessments, he takes us behind the scenes of his nearly five years as a secretary at war: the battles with Congress, the two presidents he served, the military itself, and the vast Pentagon bureaucracy; his efforts to help Bush turn the tide in Iraq; his role as a guiding, and often dissenting, voice for Obama; the ardent devotion to and love for American soldiers—his “heroes”—he developed on the job.
In relating his personal journey as secretary, Gates draws us into the innermost sanctums of government and military power during the height of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, illuminating iconic figures, vital negotiations, and critical situations in revealing, intimate detail. Offering unvarnished appraisals of Dick Cheney, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and Presidents Bush and Obama among other key players, Gates exposes the full spectrum of behind-closed-doors politicking within both the Bush and Obama administrations.

Condemns U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden for almost always being on the wrong side of the issues.
Condemns certain other members of the Obama Administration, notably Thomas Donilon and Lt. Gen. Douglas E. Lute:
About Donilon:
Biden is accused of “poisoning the well” against the military leadership. Thomas Donilon, initially Obama’s deputy national security adviser, and then-Lt. Gen. Douglas E. Lute, the White House coordinator for the wars, are described as regularly engaged in “aggressive, suspicious, and sometimes condescending and insulting questioning of our military leaders.”
Donilon was born in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of Theresa A. (née Conway) and Edward T. Donilon. His father was of Irish descent, and his maternal grandparents had immigrated from Ireland.[7] He attended La Salle Academy, earned a B.A. at The Catholic University of America in 1977, and a J.D. at the University of Virginia in 1985. He served on the Editorial Board of the Virginia Law Review.
It is rare for a former Cabinet member, let alone a defense secretary occupying a central position in the chain of command, to publish such an antagonistic portrait of a sitting president.
Might this book be the opening up of a crack between legitimate versus Vatican Jesuit government, and the start of a much need intellectual assault upon the popular misconception, sloganeering over independent thought tail wag the dog politics that has so long ill affected Washington, D.C.?
