Wlodimir (Vladimir) Ledochowski Married in 1913, Divorced 1922?!

To daughter of former U.S. State Maryland Governor WARFIELD (1904-1908)

I thought I saw this a few months ago, but then could only find a wedding announcement for ANOTHER Wlodimir Ledochowski, dated about 1946, so it almost was like a visit to the Twilight Zone- I saw something that later vanished. And now it reappears.

That reminds me, what is the deal with that 1913 Leodchowski-Warfield marriage!

Same name.

Same famous uncle.

This reported in multiple newspapers, but with inconsistencies in the age and the existence of a younger brother..

I have not found if the uncle and the 191-1942 Black Pope's dad had any additional brothers that could possibly provide a namesake 1st cousin.

Internet geneology sources for Louise Warfield that I have seen exclude any spouse or offspring info.

Should not some Jesuit source provide the information to show whether this involved a namesake 1st cousin or the Black Pope to be himself? (esp if the former)

Even the Newark Archdiocese thinks it might just be a discoloration, though a spokesman said, "If it helps people to be stronger in their faith, then it is a good thing. I think it’s more natural to try to encounter God in church, not by expressing your faith to a tree." Way to be a buzzkill, Catholic guy.

I only saw the first reply; I did not see those others starting with the one saying 'Are you playing the fool with me?'  I only discovered these added and increasingly seemingly irrational messages with a yahoo mail search today.  I can only speculate as to why.

Seems to me if 'Avles' was being overloaded by his blogging, then why not simply make fewer posts, even taking a break from writing, but leave the existing stuff already up. Why hide them?  With this silliness of 'this blog is for invited readers only'.  I interpret that as he is now afraid of something within them.

Even stranger, he starts a new blog "Avles Beluskes Novice", only to entirely take it down after about 5 postings within about two weeks.  Also, he deletes or blocks his account at Facebook.  What's going on behind this?

Starting about 2,300 years ago, the Hebrew Bible was translated into a Greek version now known as the Septuagint. One shortcoming of that translation is its inattention to near synonyms. For instance, the Hebrew words for "love," "mercy" and "compassion" are frequently mixed up, because they mean nearly the same thing. Likewise, because most young women in antiquity were virgins and most virgins were young women, the Septuagint wasn't careful to distinguish the words for "virgin" and "young woman" in translation.

This is how the Hebrew in Isaiah 7:14 -- which describes a young woman giving birth to a boy who will be named Emmanuel -- ended up in Greek as a virgin giving birth. Though these facts about Greek and Hebrew are generally undisputed among scholars, the translation error remains, both because people are usually unwilling to give up familiar translations, and also perhaps because the Gospel of Matthew describes the virgin birth of Jesus by quoting the mistaken Greek translation of Isaiah 7:14.

Metaphors are particularly difficult to translate, because words have different metaphoric meanings in different cultures. Shepherds in the Bible were symbols of might, ferocity and royalty, whereas now they generally represent peaceful guidance and oversight. So the image of the Lord as shepherd in Psalm 23 originally meant that the Lord was mighty, fierce and royal. The impact was roughly the same as "the Lord is a man of war." But in most English-speaking cultures, "the Lord is my shepherd" conveys a wholly different, and therefore inaccurate, image.

Similarly, kinship terms like "father," "brother," "sister," etc. were used in the Bible specifically to indicate power structure. This is why the romantic Song of Solomon -- the Bible's only full length treatise on relationships -- says "my sister, my bride" or "my sister, my spouse." On its face, that English translation is not only unromantic but in fact felonious. The original point, however, was that the woman in this relationship should be the man's equal.
