excerpt-

Avdiivka (Ukraine) (AFP) - Ukrainian forces and Russian-backed rebels were on Tuesday locked in fighting for a third straight day at a flashpoint town that left thousands shivering without power and sparked renewed EU concern about security in its backyard.

The industrial hub of Avdiivka came under an unexpected assault Sunday from insurgents seeking to wrest back territory controlled by Kiev during the nearly three-year war.

The clashes have claimed the lives of at least 13 civilians and fighters on both sides since Sunday -- the worst outburst of violence since the two sides agreed a new truce on December 23.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko underscored the urgency of the situation by cutting short a visit to Berlin on Monday and convened an emergency meeting of his National Security and Defence Council.
Poroshenko is worried that Donald Trump's rise to the US presidency and praise for Russia's Vladimir Putin may add fuel to a conflict that began shortly after Ukraine's 2014 ouster of its Moscow-backed leader and tilt toward the West.

Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters the Kremlin was "extremely worried" but had "reliable information" that renegade units of pro-Kiev fighters were in fact responsible for the initial attacks. ...

excerpt-

In January, a US Army brigade of nearly 3,500 troops and 2,700 pieces of heavy equipment arrived in Poland in the largest deployments of US troops and armor to that country

The brigade came with a simple mission — integrate with the Polish army and deter Russia on all fronts
"Russian aggression takes many forms," Gen. Ben Hodges, commander of the US Army in Europe, told NBC News.

"Cyber, misinformation, threatening other countries, Russian snap exercises. We're serious — this is not just a training exercise. It's to demonstrate a strategic message that you cannot violate the sovereignty of members of NATO ... Moscow will get the message — I'm confident of it. "
The combine US and Polish forces immediately started training with tanks, artillery, and helicopters in an overt show of force.
Meanwhile, US soldiers in Lithuania had just finished a similar exercise. Estonia, Latvia, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary will all also see US troops deployed on a rotational basis.
But the US assurance to vulnerable NATO states in the Baltics comes after a years-long Russian military buildup. Current and former US generals have expressed doubts about NATO's ability to deter or stop an outright attack from Russia, and a report from the think tank RAND Corp predicts that Russia could seize control of the Baltic States within 36 hours of a blitz-like invasion.  ...
... For now, US forces will train, eat, and sleep alongside their European allies, meaning that a Russian attack of any sort on the Baltics will draw an immediate reaction from the US.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel will meet Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko Monday after U.S. President Donald Trump’s frenetic day of phone calls that included herself and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Merkel, whose country brokered the maligned ceasefire between Moscow and Kiev in eastern Ukraine, known as the Minsk agreement, is fast becoming the Western leader most supportive of Ukraine’s struggle to integrate into Europe.

Since the start of the conflict in 2014, governments previously hawkish toward Russia, notably the U.S. under Barack Obama, have been replaced by leaders such as Trump implementing a softer stance. The approach within Europe itself is also threatening to splinter after rising French electoral candidate Francois Fillon described sanctions against the Kremlin as "pointless," Reuters reported.
Ukraine’s Poroshenko will visit Berlin to meet with Merkel as well as the President of the Bundestag Norbert Lammert and Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel, according to Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.

Speaking to one of Ukraine’s major Russian-language broadcaster’s Inter, Klimkin said that during the visit Monday, the two leaders would discuss a broad agenda of issues.

"We had an agreement in early February to discuss a number of important issues particularly how to make Russia fulfill Minsk agreements, the security situation in Donbas, what can we do to free captives and how we can take make use of the Normandy format most effectively today," he said referring to the German-French brokered ceasefire.
Klimkin added that Ukraine and Germany were not only “political partners but friends” and that Kiev would seek German help in implementing anti-corruption reforms.
The Ukrainian minister also dismissed the possibility that Western sanctions on Russia would be dropped without implementation of the ceasefire, despite the Trump administration’s repeated suggestions that the U.S. may lift its sanctions to secure a Russian concession on another issue.
“We are going around in circles again on this issue,” Klimkin said, telling his interviewer the Ukrainian vision was simple. “First we discuss how we define the steps of the implementation of the Minsk (ceasefire) agreements. Then we get guarantees from Russia's fulfillment of the Minsk agreements.”
So far the ceasefire deal, agreed in Minsk, Belarus, has been hard to implement due to a fundamental disagreement about the nature of the Russian-backed forces in eastern Ukraine. Kiev treats them as de facto Russian troops, having captured soldiers not only equipped with Russian military issue weaponry, but also found to be either active or past servicemen.

However, Russia has continued to argue that the militant forces near the Russian border that have kept Ukraine’s vast armed forces at bay for almost three years are local independence fighters, who receive no military support from Moscow.

Putin Offer To Split Ukraine With Poland - 2

In June 2014, Wprost magazine in Poland published transcripts of a secretly-taped conversation between Sikorski and the former Polish finance minister Jacek Rostowski in which Sikorski criticised British Prime Minister David Cameron and his handling of the EU to appease Eurosceptics in very derogatory terms.[29][30][31] Sikorski did not deny the remarks attributed to him. The recordings were believed to have been made in one or more restaurants in the Polish capital, Warsaw, and recorded sometime between summer 2013 and spring 2014.[32][29] In other leaked conversations Sikorski was reported to have said: "The Polish-American alliance isn’t worth anything. It is even harmful because it creates a false sense of security for Poland".[33] He continued and said: "We will get a conflict with both Russians and Germans, and we’re going to think that everything is great, because we gave the Americans a blowjob. Suckers. Total suckers,". He also described the mentality of Poles as "thinking ‘like a negro.’"[34][35]

In 2014, Sikorski labeled pro-Russian separatists as "terrorists".[36] He also said: "Remember that on that Russian-Ukrainian border, people’s identities are not as strong as we are used to in Europe. ... They reflect Ukraine’s failure over the last 20 years and Ukraine’s stagnant standards of living. You know, when you are a Ukrainian miner or soldier, and you earn half or a third of what your colleagues just across the border in Russia earn, that questions your identity."[37] According to Spiegel Online: "... [Sikorski] hopes that NATO and the EU will finally take off the kid gloves in their dealings with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He wants to see the West stand up to Moscow and, if necessary, threaten the Russians militarily."[38]

excerpt

Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly tried to tempt Poland into invading Ukraine with the goal of partitioning the country in 2013, former Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski told Ben Judah in an article in Politico.

According to Sikorski, who was Poland's foreign minister from 2007 until this past September and is now a member of parliament, the Polish Foreign Ministry first became alarmed over Putin's expansionist ambitions in the summer of 2013. The Ministry discovered that Russia was thinking about which Ukrainian provinces it could conceivably grab even before protests broke out in Kiev in November of 2013.

http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2014/10/vladimir-putins-coup-112025_Page3.html#.VFhrvhZTYWc

excerpt

The buildup to war actually began as early as 2008, according to Sikorski. He says Russian intentions were becoming transparent by the time of the 2008 NATO summit in Bucharest. “This is where [Putin] gave his extraordinary speech saying Ukraine was an artificial country and the greater part of these lands historically belonged to Russia.” At the summit the Kremlin warned it would respond militarily to moves by Ukraine or Georgia to join the NATO alliance: months later Russian forces seized on a provocation from Tbilisi and invaded Georgia.

Ukrainian intelligence points to Russian operatives beginning to move into Crimea from 2012 and possibly even 2010. There have also been reports of Kremlin operatives openly discussing a project to annex the territory beginning in the summer of 2013. Sikorski says Russian intentions toward Crimea first began to alarm him in 2011 and 2012, when Putin began visiting the festivals of Russian nationalist biker gangs in the peninsula. However it was not until the summer of 2013 that alarm bells began to ring inside the Polish Foreign Ministry.

“We learned Russia ran calculations on what provinces would be profitable to grab,” says Sikorski, who claims that Poland became aware the Kremlin had calculated it would be profitable to annex Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk and Odessa regions, while the assessing that the Donbass area currently controlled by Putin’s rebels would not, on its own, not be profitable to incorporate into Russia.

“By that time they were already doing calculations about how to seize Crimea as a way of blackmailing Viktor Yanukovych,” says Sikorski, “I know from my conversations and meeting with Yanukovych that he wanted to get the [European Union-Ukraine] Association Agreement. But in November 2013 something happened, something snapped. Based on our conversations, my sense is that it was something Putin told him in Sochi. I think that Putin had kompromat [blackmail material] on Yanukovych: we now know there was a weekly, biweekly truck taking out the cash [stolen from the Ukrainian budget] in a cash transfer. And I think he told him: ‘Don’t sign the Association Agreement; otherwise we’ll seize Crimea.’ That’s why he cracked.”

The Kremlin gambled it was playing with Poland’s own repressed imperial fantasies: Moscow is well aware that among the country’s bestselling novels is a historical fantasy of a Poland that teamed up with Nazi Germany to conquer the Soviet Union. Nor had it gone amiss in Moscow that Sikorski himself has praised the novel, on more than one occasion. This is why the Kremlin sent out feelers to Warsaw with a message from the speaker of the clownish Russian speaker of parliament, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, offering Poland five provinces of Western Ukraine. [at other times Zhirinovsky has promoted restoring the 1937 German-Polish border] The belief in Warsaw was this message was a deniable feeler from the Kremlin’s innermost circles. “We made it very, very clear to them—we wanted nothing to do with this,” says Sikorski.

Nobody knows where Putin will stop. But there is fear in Poland and the Baltic states that sooner or later he will try and conquer the rest of what he claims of what he calls “Novorossiya,” or New Russia: a huge territory stretching from Donetsk all the way to the borders of Moldova. “What I fear,” says Sikorski, “is that the Russians simply cannot accept the existence of Ukraine as a nation. They cannot admit that a separate nation exists. And if they want to go head to head against Ukrainian nationalism, well, then be my guest. Then Russia will learn that Ukraine is really a nation and face a situation of 20 years of partisan war. The Russians could grab the entire territory of Novorossiya easily, but they will have a rump Ukraine arming her, supplying her with weapons, seen by the whole world as the real Ukraine, with a sizable amount of the population supporting the real Ukraine. They could win the battle. But to hold down this enormous territory would require a force of 200,000 to 300,000 troops and a 10-year commitment. And they could never sustain it without permanent, national mobilization.”

Europe’s leaders think this is why the Kremlin will now freeze the conflict in Eastern Ukraine. But they are not certain. Many speculate Putin will try to carve out a land bridge to Crimea, others that he will cut off Ukrainian gas this winter. Whatever happens, it’s clear Europe’s foreign policy machine has been exposed as clueless. The EU and its member states have more than 57,000 diplomats around the world, but they failed to predict either the war in Ukraine or the Arab Spring. Bildt laments: “Most of the staff in the EU embassies can’t even speak the local language.”

The hawkish Bildt and Sikorski see Russia as a real threat to other European states, but most European leaders disagree. As one European foreign minister from a small eastern country explained the discord: “There are two kinds of threat assessments in the EU right now. There are those of us who see the only real threat to our statehood coming from Germany if the euro and the EU collapse, and then everything else, ISIS, Ukraine and all that, as being threats that only seem real on TV; and then there are those of us like the Poles, and the Baltic states, who really do believe that Russia imminently menaces their statehood.”

Still, Bildt and Sikorski are taken very seriously in Brussels: they have the ear of Europe’s leaders on all matters concerning Russia. Both see more Kremlin-instigated war in Europe through the decades ahead. “I have talked to NATO generals,” says Sikorski. “And they see what I see: that he is capable of pushing us to the limit. Of pushing us to the limits before we crack. I believe that Putin has us completely sussed. He thinks he’s facing a bunch of degenerate weaklings. And he thinks we wouldn’t go to war to defend the Baltics. You know, maybe he’s right.”

In the end, however, the threat from Russia could stem as much from its instability as its ambitions. Putin appears too entrenched to be toppled without bloodshed or a coup. European diplomats note soberly they believe sanctions cannot crack the regime: If they succeed, they will only make it more reticent to intervene abroad, at the cost of becoming much more repressive at home. This means the real risk is that Putin will attempt to repeat his success in Crimea every time his popularity begins to flag—and there might be an even greater risk of this now that the price of oil is falling, and with it Russia’s prosperity.

“Should it go decisively below $80 a barrel and stay there for two years he’s in trouble,” warns Sikorski. “But what’s bad for him is not necessarily good for us. He’s a gambler. And he’s got a lowered sense of danger. He’ll take these huge gambles because the real danger for Putin is his own life. He can’t let go. He can’t leave the Kremlin. Once you’ve spilt blood, once you’ve had apartment bombings, once you’ve sent death squads abroad, once you’ve had Georgia, Ukraine, all these mothers, and all the bodies of soldiers being disposed of from secret wars… You can’t just let go.”

Why Do Anti Westerners Hate Merkel?

Because she stands against the Eastern Roman Empire

Anti Merkel Italian newspaper
weirdly cited favorably by the supposedly anti-Rome 'The UnHived Mind'
http://continuingcounterreformation.blogspot.com/2014/10/what-circus-3.html

Merkel is Lutheran, with her paternal family previously being Roman Catholic before converting during the 1920s.

Merkel is acknowledged as 1/4 Polish.

Her maiden name was Kasner, which is the Germanification of Kazmierczak.

Merkel's father was Horst Kasner (1926–2011),[13][14] a native of Berlin.

Merkel's paternal grandparents were Horst's father Ludwig Kasner, a German national[16] of Polish origin from Posen/Poznań,  born 1896, and his German wife Margareta.

Merkel's paternal paternal great-grandparents - the parents of Ludwig Krasner - were Anna Kazmierczak and Ludwig Wojciechowski who were un-married, with Ludwig taking his mother's surname and growing up with her and her later husband Ludwig Rychlicki in Poznan. Thus, Merkel's earlier blood ancestral paternal name was not Kazmierczak but rather Wojciechowski.

Angela Merkel's paternal Grandparents - Margareta and Ludwig Kazmierczak

Merkel's mother was Herlind, born in 1928 in Danzig (now Gdańsk, Poland) as Herlind Jentzsch, a teacher of English and Latin.

Merkel's maternal grandparents were the Danzig politician Willi Jentzsch (born 15 May 1886 in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, died 23 May 1936 in the Free City of Danzig), and his wife, married in Danzig in 1921, Gertrud Alma Drange.

Willi Jentzsch was a German teacher, school administrator and politician.and maternal granddaughter of the city clerk of Elbing (now Elbląg, Poland).  He served as chairman of the Danziger Beamtenbund (Danzig Federation of Civil Servants) and was elected as one of the eleven senators of the Free City of Danzig on 27 October 1926, but resigned on 1 November 1927 for health reasons. On 1 November 1927, he was appointed rector of the renowned Gymnasium St. Johann in Fleischergasse. In March 1936, he became school director in Danzig, and thus head of all elementary schools in the city-state, mere weeks before his death.  Gertrud Alma Drange, if I recall correctly, was of Kushubian-Polish ethnicity.  If so, that makes Merkel more then 1/4 Polish.

Merkel's maternal paternal great-grandfather, the father of Willi Jentzch, was Wilhelm Jentzsch, a landowner (Gutsbesitzer) who belonged to a prominent family in Bitterfeld-Wolfen.

Merkel's maternal maternal great-grandparents, the parents of Gertrud Alma, were Emil Drange, (born in East Prussia, 18 March 1866, died 8 April 1913 in Elbing), and his wife Emma Wachs (born in Glogau in 1871 and died in 1935).

Emil Drange was a German municipal official who served as the city clerk (Oberstadtsekretär) and deputy mayor of Elbing and thus as one of the top municipal officials of the city.  His father, was a miller born in Lower Silesia, and his mother was a native of the Posen (Poznan) area.[1]

Merkel is favored by Poles:
http://www.dw.de/the-german-chancellors-polish-roots/a-16698783

The Poles have developed a soft spot for German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The reason: According to the largest Polish daily "Gazeta Wyborcza," her grandfather Ludwig Kazmierczak was Polish and is believed to have fought against the Germans as a Polish soldier in 1918.

At the time of the First World War, Poland had been divided and occupied by Germany, Russia, and Austria, and lost its statehood for 123 years. Merkel's grandfather fought to put Poland back on the map.
And also important Polish-Americans:
Chancellor Merkel's strategically tough-minded stance against Putin's anti-European adventurism provides the leadership that Europe needs.- Zbignew Brzezinski

Putin's Cancer Clock 2014-2017?

Vladimir Putin may be suffering from cancer of the spine or pancreas, if some news outlets possess accurate information.

Despite the Russian president’s macho image as an outdoorsman and martial artist, rumors of this nature have circulated before in several elements of the overseas media over the last few years.

The latest health rumor has surfaced in the Page Six celebrity gossip section of the New York Post, which claims that the illness may explain Putin’s rush to invade Ukraine as well as changes in his physical appearance.

With regard to Ukraine, The Inquisitr previously reported that Putin allegedly tried to hatch a plan back in 2008 to invade Ukraine and divide the country with Poland, according to a top Polish government official. There is also growing concern in the Baltic region that Russia could eventually invade other neighboring countries with ethnically Russian populations, as it did in Ukraine.

This week, Putin leveled criticism at U.S. foreign policy for in his view putting the world at risk and endangering global security. According to the Washington Times, however, President Obama’s weak response as perceived by national security experts to Russia’s aggressiveness has emboldened Putin to push the envelope: “Russian military provocations have increased so much over the seven months since Moscow annexed Crimea from Ukraine that Washington and its allies are scrambling defense assets on a nearly daily basis in response to air, sea and land incursions by Vladimir Putin’s forces. Not only is Moscow continuing to foment unrest in Eastern Ukraine, U.S. officials and regional security experts say Russian fighter jets are testing U.S. reaction times over Alaska and Japan’s ability to scramble planes over its northern islands — all while haunting Sweden’s navy and antagonizing Estonia’s tiny national security force.”

With regard to Russia’s aforementioned expansionist ambitions, Page Six scribe Richard Johnson noted, “Others say Putin has three years to live and wants to leave a legacy of expanding the Russian borders just like Peter the Great or Stalin.

Specifically about the Putin cancer rumors, Johnson claimed that…
“News outlets from Belarus to Poland have reported for months that the Russian strongman has cancer of the spinal cord. But my sources say it’s pancreatic cancer, one of the most lethal forms of the disease. Putin is allegedly being treated by an elderly doctor from the old East Germany whom Putin met decades ago while serving in Dresden for the KGB. The doctor has been trying various treatments including steroid shots, which would explain Putin’s puffy appearance…”
Writing earlier this year for the U.K. website The Week, intelligence analyst and British military vet Crispin Black asserted that given the Russian leader’s influence on the world stage, the status of Putin’s health is important both domestically and internationally.
“President Putin is seriously ill, according to a number of seasoned observers of the Russian scene. Some of them suggest that he is suffering from cancer, perhaps even one of the most feared forms of the disease — cancer of the spinal cord, which might explain his periodically bad back…
What happens to Putin is important to us all even though his fervent nationalism and strong preference for ‘traditional’ (his word) sexuality have upset Western elite opinion…
Like many Russian leaders before him, Putin’s rule, although obeying the forms of the (elastic) Russian constitution, is basically personal. He is Tsar in all but name, and like the Romanovs, has appropriated a large chunk of Russia’s wealth to himself. Unlike the Romanovs, he has no obvious heir. If he becomes seriously ill in office, any succession struggle will be made doubly bitter by the extreme wealth as well as political power up for grabs.”
Black also observed that around Christmas time last year, Putin uncharacteristically freed one of his foes from after 10 years because the man’s mother had a terminal cancer diagnosis. “Some have suggested [Putin] is clearing his conscience.”

Do you think that there is any basis for the Vladimir Putin cancer rumors?

Putin 2008 Offer to Split Ukraine With Poland?!

This quoted article makes no mention of just what border was suggested by Putin.

http://news.yahoo.com/putin-offered-divide-ukraine-poland-polish-ex-minister-210859509.html

WARSAW (Reuters) - Poland's parliamentary speaker, Radoslaw Sikorski, has been quoted as saying that Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to Poland's then leader in 2008 that they divide Ukraine between themselves.
Sikorski, who until September served as Poland's foreign minister, was quoted telling U.S. website Politico that Putin made the proposal during Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk's visit to Moscow in 2008 - although he later said some of the interview had been "overinterpreted".

"He wanted us to become participants in this partition of Ukraine ... This was one of the first things that Putin said to my prime minister, Donald Tusk, when he visited Moscow," he was quoted as saying in the interview dated Oct. 19.

"He (Putin) went on to say Ukraine is an artificial country and that Lwow is a Polish city and why don't we just sort it out together," Sikorski was quoted as saying.

Before World War Two, Poland's territory included parts of today's western Ukraine, including some major cities such as Lwow, known as Lviv in Ukraine.

Sikorski, who accompanied Tusk on his trip to Moscow, was quoted as saying Tusk did not reply to Putin's suggestion, because he knew he was being recorded, but Poland never expressed any interest in joining the Russian operation.

"We made it very, very clear to them - we wanted nothing to do with this," Sikorski was quoted as saying.

After publication of the interview, Sikorski said it was not entirely accurate.

"Some of the words have been overinterpreted," Sikorski wrote on his Twitter account late on Monday, adding that Poland does not take part in annexations.

The interview could further aggravate tension between Poland and Russia, already at odds over the Ukrainian crisis and Poland's arrest of two men suspected of spying for Moscow.

Neither Poland's Foreign Ministry nor Russian officials were immediately available to comment.
"If such a proposal was made by Putin then that's scandalous," Ewa Kopacz, who replaced Tusk as prime minister after his departure for a top job in Brussels, said late on Monday in an interview with public broadcaster TVP.

"No Polish prime minister will participate in such a disgraceful activity like partitioning another country", she said, adding she had not heard about such a proposal before.
Sikorski's account is not the first suggestion that Russia was seeking Poland's support in partitioning Ukraine.

Following the annexation of Crimea, Russian parliamentary speaker Vladimir Zhirinovsky sent a letter to the governments of Poland, Romania and Hungary, proposing a joint division of the country.

The Reincarnated Polish-Lithuania-Ruthenian Commonwealth Military Brigade

Sans "Belarus" which continues under the
traditionally pro Moscovite regime of Alexander Lukashenko
who recently came out in support of the post 2-22-14 Kiev Regime:
During the 2014 crisis in Ukraine, Alexander Lukashenko became a critic of Russian policy and interferences in Ukraine's internal affairs. Lukashenko criticized the Donbass status referendums and the idea of federalization, and proclaimed support for the government in Kiev. During the 9 May celebration, Lukashenko spoke in Belarussian instead of Russian for the first time. Later he arranged a meeting between Ukraine's president Petro Poroshenko and Russian president Vladimir Putin.[119] The Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza has written about Lukashenko's transformation from "last dictator in Europe to acceptable peacemaker".[120]

excerpt

Kiev, Ukraine: The defense ministers of Poland, Ukraine and Lithuania signed an agreement at the Belvedere Palace in Warsaw on Friday to establish a joint military brigade to participate in peacekeeping operations and to strengthen cooperation in the region.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski said that the agreement – contribution to the security of the region. “We want to send Ukraine provided assistance for the modernization of its Army,” – he added.

New international military unit was called LITPOLUKRBRIG (Lithuanian: Lietuvos-Lenkijos-Ukrainos brigada,)

According to the Polish defense ministry, the team will be used in operations under the auspices of the UN and the EU. Among the main tasks – participation in international efforts to maintain peace, the strengthening of military cooperation in the region and lay the foundation for the formation of the European Union Battle Group.

At the meeting of defense ministers of the three countries, it was decided to form Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian working groups to structure the team.

According to the plan, Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine military units will remain in their places of permanent deployment, passing subordinate command of the brigade at the time of exercise and perform missions.

Brigade headquarters will be the Polish city of Lublin. There is already a part of the Polish command numbering about 50 soldiers. They need to connect several dozen officers from Ukraine and Lithuania.

This new team is expected to reach full readiness of the brigade in two years.
It may be mentioned that the idea of a Ukrainian-Polish-Lithuanian brigade to counter crises “LITPOLUKRBRIG” appeared in 2007.

Wlodimir Put-In On The Katyn Massacre

… after the April 2010 plane crash that killed ninety six Polish dignitaries on their way to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre, Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences, but rather undiplomatic-ally added that the incident at Katyn may have been an act of revenge for Polish atrocities committed during the 1920 Polish-Soviet War.

While large numbers of Soviet troops died during the war, they were not executed as at Katyn, but were killed in battle.   Most of these casualties occurred during a dramatic flanking maneuver personally led by Pilsudski, which in turned the tide of the war and likely prevented communist revolution in Europe in the aftermath of WWI.  The Soviets, particularly Stalin who was personally involved in this defeat, never forgave Pilsudski or Poland for this heroic feat.  This animosity is apparent even today , decades after the fall of communism.

This first link is notable, listing the linkage between the far right and the far left, most or all of which are 'red standard [flag] bearers, aka the satanic Jesuit Order, but notably also bearing a flag with its own family resemblance, appearing suspiciously like that of ISIS and the Islamic extremists in Nigeria.

According to the law enforcement and local prosecutor, and of course the hostile media who immediately launched a massive attack on us, our activists made „a Heil Hitler nazi gesture” therefore supposedly dishonoring the memory of fallen Polish patriots, who fought against Hitler’s reign in Poland.

It’s a disgusting lie, typical for the regime which is trying to destroy the nationalist opposition.
It is true, that German National Socialist Workers Party (NSDAP) exploited the so-called „Roman Salute” and used it as an official greeting. But it is also true, that this gesture was used by the Polish nationalist movement of the interwar period, by organizations such as Stronnictwo Narodowe (National Party) or Obóz Narodowo-Radykalny (National-Radical Camp). These organizations were then very significant in numbers and enjoyed support of approximately 40% of the Polish public.
When the war and German occupation started, these organizations rejected the new rule and immediately created powerful underground structures whose sole purpose was to undermine the occupation authorities. In 1942, Polish nationalist movement created its own military wing – the National Armed Forces, with more than 100,000 armed men, who fought to the death against the German national-socialist invaders. After the war, these people still fought, till early 60s, against the Red terror and Soviet occupation. Most of them sacrificed their lives on the altar of our homeland.
The traditional greeting of these Polish nationalists was composed of both raising the right hand „to the sun” and screaming „Hail Great Poland!” or „Glory to the Great Poland!”
The same traditional Polish greeting was demonstrated at the military cemetery in Białystok by our activists.
It is important to note, that making this salutation with a proper shout (like „Hail the Great Poland) is perfectly legal in Poland. Only if you raise your right hand and scream „Heil Hitler” or „Sieg Heil”, you can be considered a person who promotes totalitarian ideology.
Quite Roman.

Western-Eastern Roman Empire 101

- is Eastern Orthodoxy some benign alternative to the [Western] Roman Catholic Church, a sort of form of Protestant Christianity, or is it simply the Eastern form of Roman Catholicism, abet with some different appearing architecture and rituals?  Is it benign and tolerant or hateful and intolerant?

- what do the sources that label Ukraine's post February 22, 2014 pro-western government as "Nazi" have to say about Vladimir Putin and his rule?  Do they also spotlight the political assassinations of human rights activists in Russia during the past decade or so ago.

The Double-Headed Eagle of the Western-Eastern Roman Empire
- why are web sites that present themselves as anti Rome-anti-Vatican-anti-Jesuit Order particularly The UnHived Mind pumping Vladimir Put-In?

- why are conspiracy blogs as Infowars less pro USA and more pro Vladimir Put-In?  Do they feel that Russia is somehow a superior more tolerant nation that the USA and or its allies such as the United Kingdom, Deutschland and Poland?

Russia successfully tested its latest Bulava intercontinental nuclear missile Wednesday amid rising tensions with NATO over the conflict in Ukraine. The nearly 37-ton missile was launched from Russia’s new submarine, the Vladimir Monomakh, as part of its sea trials. Deputy Defense Minister Yuriy Borisov said a total of five test launches are planned.

Vladimir Monomakh, named after a medieval prince, fired the inter-continental ballistic missile from the White Sea near Russia’s border with Finland and hit its target nearly 3,500 miles away on the Kamchatka peninsula north of Japan. The Russian Navy's head, Adm. Viktor Chirkov, was aboard the Vladimir Monomakh for the launch.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladimir_II_Monomakh
Vladimir II Monomakh (Old East Slavic: Володимиръ (-мѣръ) Мономахъ, Volodimir Monomakh; Christian name Vasiliy, or Basileios) (1053 – 19 May 1125) was a Velikiy Kniaz (Grand Prince) of Kievan Rus'.
He was the son of Vsevolod I (married in 1046) and Anastasia of the Eastern Roman Empire (d. 1067) which is now called the Byzantine Empire. Anastasia is believed to be related to the family of the Byzantine emperor Constantine IX Monomachos, from whom Vladimir obtained his surname. Contemporary Byzantine naming practice allowed the adoption of a maternal surname if the mother's family was perceived to be of a more exalted origin than that of the father.[1]

Eupraxia of Kiev, a half-sister of Vladimir, became notorious all over Europe for her divorce from the Holy Roman Emperor Henry IV on the grounds that he had attempted a black mass on her naked body.

Vladimir II

A basic '101' on the Western and Eastern Roman Empire represented on all those flags we see from Russia and elsewhere featuring the DOUBLE-HEADED EAGLE

330 AD- Roman Catholic Church is established in Rome, officially adopting Christianity yet clearly based upon the already established Roman universal (satanic pagan) church, with clever omissions and additions designed to ferment a fearful obedience.

880 Moscovite invasion of the Kiev of the East Polans- subsequently re-named "Kievan Rus"

988 Moscovite 'Kieven Rus' Ruler Wladimir I Sucks up to Byzantium, effectively creating Rus Orthodoxy (Eastern Catholicism)

1054 Great Schism- this effectively partitions Poland' keeping that nation-state west of the Great Schism Line, while the lands of the East Poles (Eastern Poland) are re-named 'Kievan Rus'

1240s Mongols Smash Kievan Rus, make it westward to Western Silesia

1300s- Lithuania fills the power vacuum in vanquished "Kievan Rus" - and soon joins with Poland to create the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth

1517 Martin Luther's 95 Thesis

1525 1st Lutheran State in East Prussia

1572  French bow to Rome St. Bartholomew Day's Massacre

1573 Poland passes Warsaw Confederation Against St Bartholomew Day's Massacre

"This country became a place of shelter for heretics” - Cardinal Hozjusz papal legate to Poland

late 1500s- Rome's recently created Jesuit Order seeks strategies to deal with expanding Rome's hegemony eastward

Late 1574-Early 1600s Vatican Proposal that Poland merges with Russia

1596 Uniate 'Greek Catholic' creation

1613 Russia's 2nd dynasty Romonov Dynasty established, succeeding the  Rurik Dynasty that had been established cir 862.

1650s Eastern Rome begins to take Eastern Poland (Ukraine) via the Khmelnytsky Rebellion via a pro-Moscovite Jesuit educated leader Bohdan Khmelnytsky.

Enlightened Poles seek to create the Polish-Lithuanian-Ruthenian Commonwealth by the Treaty of Hadiach which would abolish the Roman Uniate Church- is strongly opposed by Rome AND Moscow and is alas thwarted

1772-1795- Polish Commonwealth erased by Russia, Prussia and Austria..

1850- by this time Rome has decided upon a future war against Prussia-Northeastern Germany; subsequent creation of Protestant Lutheran-Pietist 2nd Reich Deutschland under Otto von Bismark, conflict with the Papacy via Cardinal Mieczyslaw Ledochowski and the revenge planning against Germany and the planned counter reformation against ‘heretical’ Germany and Poland, with the latter’s westward shift and the creation of the modern‘Ukrainian’ movement redefining the traditional East Poles-Ruthenians against Poland and favoring Moscow.

1906- Mieczyslaw Ledochowski’s nephew Wlodimir Ledochowski sets up European alliance system to engineer WW1 with Protestant United Kingdom allied against Germany and with France, which is allied with ‘Orthodox’ Russia.

Reemergence of Poland

1919 Polish Nationalist Joseph Pilsudski betrayed by political opponents loyal to Rome from western Poland primarily in the former Posen Provinz Poznan betray the drive to reunite westerly and east Poland (now re-oriented as ‘Ukraine’).
 http://www.day.kiev.ua/en/article/topic-day/pilsudski-petliura
“This does not mean, however, that he enjoyed the nation’s love and understanding. There were a lot of communities and entire regions (in particular, those of Poznan and Pomorze) where Pilsudski had virtually no political support. This naturally created numerous problems both for Poland and Ukraine.

“There is one very interesting letter written by Pilsudski to General Sosnowski in the early May of 1920. In this letter he complained that the Poznan regiments, moving across Ukraine, will not understand that they were on allied territory, and rob everyone on their way and he, the commander in chief, could do nothing to stop them. He was indignant that some men’s dishonorable and stupid behavior was ruining the entire Polish-Ukrainian concept.

Pilsudski, who sought to re-unify the western and eastern portions of Poland across the great schism line, had these efforts continuously betrayed by the papist loyalists of the political movement of Roman Dmowski, who was a vicious hater of Jewish people and who sought to alienate the Ruthenian-East Polans ('Ukrainians') in conformity with the long term strategic aims of the Western-Eastern Roman Empire via his Endecja 'National Democrat' political organization.

Such a pattern of betrayal was emulated with some of the forces under Pilsudski ally Symon Petliura during the 1920 Polish - Soviet War/Polish liberation of Kiev.  Such forces engaged in anti-Jewish pogroms contrary to Petliura's commands:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symon_Petliura
Anti-Jewish pogroms accompanied the Revolution of 1917 and the ensuing Russian Civil War. The Ukrainian state promised Jews full equality and autonomy, and Arnold Margolin, a Jewish minister in Petliura's government, declared in May 1919 that the Ukrainian government had given Jews more rights than they enjoyed in any other European government.[12] However, Petliura lost control over most of his armed forces, who then engaged in killing Jews. During Petliura's term as Head of State (1919–20), pogroms continued to be perpetrated on Ukrainian ethnic territory, and the number of Jews killed during the period is estimated to be from 35,000 to 50,000....
Historians have pointed out that Petliura himself never demonstrated any personal antisemitism, and it is documented that he actively sought to halt anti-Jewish violence on numerous occasions, introducing capital punishment for the crime of pogroming.[17][18] Taras Hunczak of Rutgers University writes that "to convict Petliura for the tragedy that befell Ukrainian Jewry is to condemn an innocent man and to distort the record of Ukrainian-Jewish relations".[19][20]

Because the Soviet Union saw Petliura and Ukrainian nationalism as a threat, it was in its interest to tarnish his reputation. A propaganda campaign to this end included accusations of anti-Jewish crimes.[21] Hunczak insists that "Petliura's own personal convictions render such responsibility highly unlikely, and all the documentary evidence indicates that he consistently made efforts to stem pogrom activity by UNR troops."[22]

 Pilsudski and Petliura 1920

WW2- extended to ensure deep penetration first eastward to destroy surplus populations then westward to destroy Warsaw, and then Eastern Germany is erased from the map, with Poland tremendously reduced and pushed westward as per design.

2017 'Greek Catholic' Rus- via a Roman Catholic Uniate Romanov Restoration!

See video at 30:30+ for discussion of future Roman Catholic Russian Czar

By Luke Wilson
Fiction as a teaching tool has a venerable history harking back to the parables of Our Lord, and even to the prophets of the Old Testament. Future fiction entails certain risks, since it has to be based on educated guesses about what will happen. While it is understood that many details of any novel set in the future will prove to be incorrect, the timeless truths taught by the story may remain relevant and worthwhile even long after the previously-future date has been passed. Well-known examples of such novels include George Orwell’s 1984, and Monsignor Robert Hugh Benson’s Lord of the World.
Russian Sunrise takes place between the years 2015 and 2017 A.D., and is based upon the outline of future history provided by Our Lady of Fatima: the Holy Father will consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in union with all the Catholic bishops of the world; but he will do it late. In the end, the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph, Russia will be converted, and the world will be granted a period of peace. The novel argues that the conversion of a nation, as promised by Our Lady, can only mean that the nation becomes Catholic. The rather sudden conversion of the vast majority of individual souls in Russia would be a spectacular public miracle -- so great that the world could neither miss nor deny the obvious connection between a recent public papal consecration of Russia, and the unprecedented religious revival that soon followed.
Those who grew up during the Cold War era have long been accustomed to think of the United States of America as the world’s protector, and of Russia as the enemy. Russian Sunrise attempts to explore a different, Catholic perspective: that Russia has been heaven’s chosen vessel for the chastisement of the world, by spreading her errors and persecutions of the Church, for as long as the Holy Fathers continue to delay exact obedience in performing the requested consecration. But in the end, Russia is to become heaven’s chosen vessel of peace for the world, as the modern world’s first powerful Catholic Confessional State. The corrupt monetary and banking systems of secular America are seen as the cause of the Global Financial Crisis. In contrast, future-Catholic Russia’s return to the Social Kingship of Christ provides the world with a new example of distributive justice and cultural cohesion. Interestingly, the modern secular humanist state religion of ‘democracy’ is challenged by converted Russia’s voluntary return to autocratic Catholic monarchy at the national level, thereby keeping local democracy free from corruption by moneyed interests. Reinstatement of a precious metals monetary standard ensures economic justice for all, and together with hereditary Christian monarchy spells an end to “government of, by, and for big money.”
In Russian Sunrise, it is converted top Russian leaders who privately plead with the fictional Pope Nicholas VI to please consecrate their nation in obedience to Our Lady of Fatima. Grace -- obtained through multi-million rosary campaigns by traditional Catholics -- has changed the leaders’ hearts to see that there is no hope for Russia, or for the world, except through papal obedience to heaven. To escape the “spiritual wickedness in high places” that infests the Vatican, Pope Nicholas goes on a sudden secret retreat to the tradition-oriented Fatima “Cova” parish in inner-city Detroit. Father Kiril Romanov, the Cova’s pastor, is a solidly-orthodox Catholic priest and a talented musician who keeps the classics of great polyphonic Catholic music alive in the context of a weekly high Tridentine mass. Father Kiril’s older brother, bachelor Mikhail Romanov, is also a talented musician, a Professor of Medicine, and a decorated war hero. And, through miracles of Divine Providence, Mikhail is the legitimate crown prince of Russia, born expatriate of uncompromised Russian royal lineage in the United States. Mikhail enters into a chaste romance with Mariya Peterson, a young music prodigy from the Cova parish, who has recently learned she and her parents are also of Russian royal descent. Prince Mikhail and Princess Mariya appear together on the world stage at the Romanov Nobility ball in New York City, on the very evening before the Pope and all obedient Catholic bishops are to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Soon, Russia is converted, clamors to restore her monarchy, and through a referendum calls upon Mikhail to ascend the Romanov throne as the new Tsar of Catholic Russia. A Ministry of Catholic Social Reorganization is established, working to re-structure Russian society from top to bottom, to bring it into conformity with the social teaching of Christ and His Church. As just monetary and economic policies are implemented, dark and powerful forces become enraged, and plot to undermine the new freedoms for the common man and for large families, which are “dangerously” on display in Russia. But other nations begin to stir, wanting to emulate the blessings demonstrated by the new Catholic Confessional state.
The author, Bruce W. Walters M.D., is a practicing psychiatrist and former columnist for The Latin Mass magazine. He sings tenor in the Latin Mass Choir at Assumption Grotto Church in Detroit, and is a former parish organist and organ-builder: Russian Sunrise contains extensive imagery of organs and classical music. During his lecture in Rome at the recent Consecration Now! conference on Fatima, Dr. Walters asserted that, while much emphasis has been placed on the chastisements threatened if Our Lady of Fatima is not obeyed soon, it is also important to contemplate what wonderful blessings could follow for Russia -- and for the whole world -- after the pope and bishops do finally obey Our Lady by performing the consecration of Russia precisely as requested.
Russian Sunrise is a creative and unusual approach to proclaiming the full truth about Fatima. It is a well-written, captivating, and uplifting story, packed with detailed information about Catholic social teaching, the Orthodox Church, classical music, economics, the Global Financial Crisis, and Russian history. The novel seems designed to reach a much wider audience than just traditional Catholics already convinced of the urgency of the message of Fatima. Russian Sunrise may be an important new tool to spread the full message of Fatima, to inform good minds previously confused by the “Vatican party line,” and to enkindle renewed zeal for the Consecration of Russia in good hearts previously stifled by “false obedience.” A copy for oneself, and a few extra copies to pass along to friends, is to be recommended.

Incidentally, the name of Vladimir means "great ruler"? Kievan "Rus" ruler, Vladimir Great, therefore, entered into an alliance with the Byzantine Empire and created the Russian Orthodox Church.

Then we have Vladimir II  (1053 – 19 May 1125) - a Velikiy Kniaz (Grand Prince) of Kievan Rus'.

Then we have Wlodimir (Vladimir) Ledochowski who perfected the evil squeeze of WW1 and particularly WW2 upon north-eastern Germany and Poland - born October 7, 1866, died December 13, 1942, days after the war battle-lines turned against Germany at the Battle of Stalingrad.

Then, whether Russia will soon becoming the new Catholic ruler, Vladimir Romanov, or "roman a great ruler."

Ironically, Putin and Ledochowski, happened to be born on the same day, October 7, with Putin born exactly 14 years before the 100th anniversary of Ledochowski's birth.
